StarSifter is a browser extension that analyses Amazon product reviews. This policy explains what it handles and why.
What we process
- Product reviews you choose to check. Only when you press “Check reviews” (or “For sellers”) on an Amazon product page, the extension reads the public reviews shown for that product — star rating, title, text, date and verified-purchase badge — together with the product ID and title, and sends them to our server.
- AI analysis. Our server sends those reviews to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the analysis. Under Anthropic's commercial terms the data is not used to train its models.
- Cached results. The resulting analysis of a product (not linked to you) is stored for up to 7 days so anyone checking the same product gets it instantly.
- An anonymous install token generated by the extension; we store only a one-way hash of it, with a daily count of checks for the free limits.
We do not collect your name, email, browsing history, Amazon account details, orders or anything from pages other than the product you choose to check.
Sharing
We do not sell data or use it for advertising. Data is processed only by the providers that run the service: Cloudflare (hosting) and Anthropic (AI analysis), and by our payment provider when paid plans launch.
Retention and deletion
Cached analyses expire after 7 days; usage counts are kept for up to 90 days. Uninstalling the extension deletes its token from your browser. Contact support@starsifter.com with any request.
